Ever ask, “How can I stop my child’s vision from changing each year?” We finally have the answer for you!!

We are excited to announce that our practice is one of the few certified to fit a new, state-of-the-art, daily disposable contact lens called MiSight.

MiSight daily contacts are the first FDA-approved contact lenses to slow the progression of nearsightedness (myopia). Myopia is typically caused by the eye elongating from front to back, so the goal of treatment is to slow down the elongation of the eye (see diagram below). MiSight achieves this by using two treatment zones. One zone focuses light on the retina so the patient sees clearly, while the other treatment zone focuses light in front of the retina which then signals to the brain to stop eye growth and elongation.

We are pleased to offer this option for children (ages 6 and older) who are showing signs of increasing myopia. A thorough comprehensive eye exam is the best way to determine if your child is a candidate for these contact lenses. Call our office today to schedule a consultation.
