Latisse is a prescription treatment used to help grow eyelashes, making them longer, thicker, and darker. Latisse is believed to help prolong the active growth phase of the eyelashes, although the exact way it works is unknown. The onset of effect with Latisse is gradual. In the clinical trial the majority of Latisse users saw a significant improvement within 2 months. If you should stop using Latisse your eyelashes are expected to return to their previous appearance over several weeks to months. Possible side effects include eye itching, or eye redness. Other less common side effects, which typically occur on the skin close to where Latisse is applied or in the eyes include: eye irritation, dryness, redness of the eyelids, skin darkening, or iris color changes.
If you or anyone you know has an interest in longer, thicker eyelashes, please contact our office and request a Latisse consultation with one of our doctors. We are happy to help!
